Kids Church is a program open to all children grades k-6. Children are able to attend this program following the children sermon during both of our services. In Kids Church we learn memory verses, do object lessons, and crafts to learn about God’s love and how we can share that love with the world.
Offering will be taken every Sunday during Kids Church. Giving offering is a great way to teach children the joy of giving. It also gives them an opportunity to help the poor and needy as God calls us to do. The offering will go to purchase gifts of animals and clean water for people all over the world. We will be keeping a tally in the classroom with the amount that we have collected. At the end of the year we will be able to turn their offering into a blessing for another family. We encourage you to teach your child about offering by keeping a jar for offering at home, by setting aside some allowance money for their Sunday offering, or whatever works for your family. Something as small as a quarter adds up over the weeks and can help teach them a lesson of giving back. Take a peek in the classroom on a Sunday to see how close we are to our goal.
Monthly memory verses will be given to the children at the beginning of every month. The children will have the chance to earn a prize in class by reciting the memory verse at the end of the month. We want to encourage the children to get familiar with their Bible. What better way to get to know the word of God than by bringing it to church and learning some of the most inspiring verses. Learning does not happen only on Sundays and this is a great way to explore the word of God with your child. Check the Family Ministry News Page for this month’s memory verse.
