At Rock of the Foothills, the Thanksgiving Eve worship service is a cherished tradition that brings our community together in gratitude and reflection. With hearts full of thanks, we lift our voices in praise and offer prayers of gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon us. Following the service, we gather for a pie potluck. Families and friends come together to share their favorite pies, each one unique and made with love. It’s a wonderful way to enter into the Thanksgiving weekend.
This year we are taking a wine offering. If you would like to contribute wine for the year’s sacrament of Holy Communion, you are invited to bring a red, screw-cap wine. Why red only? Because the grape jioce option we have for those who do not drink alcohol is white. We need it to be easy for our servers to distinguish between the two. Why screw-cap? There is often left over wine and a screw-cap does a much better job of preserving the wine than pushing a cork back in.
