Faith
We are committed to living and growing in faith - trusting that faith is not a destination, but a lifelong journey shaped by God’s grace.
We grow in faith by engaging Scripture, lifting our voices in worship, and serving others in Christ’s name. We embrace questions, wrestle with doubt, and seek understanding, knowing that God meets us in every stage of the journey. As we grow, we are transformed — not for our own sake, but for the sake of the world God so loves.
Living in faith means putting our trust in God’s promises each day. It means practicing forgiveness, seeking justice, and walking humbly with our Lord.
Welcome
As followers of Jesus we proclaim a spirit of authentic welcome — a welcome grounded in God's all-embracing grace.
We believe every person is created in the image of God and deeply loved. In Christ, there are no strangers, no outsiders — only siblings in the family of God. Therefore, we commit to welcoming all people, without exception, into the life and ministry of our congregation.
This welcome is more than a greeting — it is an ongoing practice of hospitality, curiosity, and love. We strive to create a place of belonging for all ages and seasons of our lives.
Service
We believe that each of us is called to serve following the example of Jesus Christ.
Christ’s example teaches us that true greatness is found in humility, hospitality, and justice. We serve not to earn God’s favor, but because we have already received it. We are the hands and feet of Christ in the world, sent to shine with His light, bear witness to His grace, and extend His welcome to all.
We affirm that all we have is a gift from God: our time, our talents, our resources, and our very lives. In gratitude, we are called to steward these gifts generously and faithfully, sharing them for the good of our neighbors and the flourishing of creation.
Rooted
We are a church rooted in the living Word of God and grounded in the rich heritage of the Lutheran church.
We affirm that Scripture is the source and norm of our teaching, always pointing us to the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We engage the Bible with reverence and honesty — listening deeply, asking questions, and allowing God’s Word to speak into today’s world. Rooted in this living Word, we are equipped to grow in faith, proclaim good news, and serve our neighbors with courage and compassion.
We stand firmly in the Lutheran tradition, shaped by the Reformation’s call to return to the Gospel and continually be re-formed by it. Our heritage is not a relic of the past, but a living foundation — one that gives us courage to meet the challenges of today and discern God’s call for tomorrow.
Anchored in Scripture and heritage, we listen for the Spirit’s leading, trusting that God is still speaking, still guiding, and still calling us forward in hope and faith.
Joy
At the heart of our faith is joy - we embrace joy as a central expression of our life in Christ.
Grounded in the promise of God's grace through faith, we rejoice not in our own striving, but in the unearned, unconditional love of God made known in Jesus Christ.
Joy is a gift of the Holy Spirit that sustains us through every season. It is deeper than happiness, rooted in the assurance that we are claimed, forgiven, and called by God. This joy frees us to live boldly — to worship with thanksgiving, to serve with compassion, and to welcome all with open arms.
As a community, we celebrate life together with gratitude, laughter, and hope, trusting that “the joy of the Lord is our strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). We strive to be a people who reflect the joy of Christ, drawing others to the light of His love.
