ERIC STROM
PASTOR

Pastor Eric is a graduate of Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN and, as he likes to point out, a native Californian. He was born in San Diego and grew up in the San Francisco Bay area. He received a Bachelor of Music from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA and a Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary. He met his wife, Lisa, while at his first call in Green Bay, WI. Pastor Eric loves to play guitar and sing in the worship band, occasionally golfs, enjoys tech stuff, hiking and gardening.

Felecia DickersoN
Office Administrator

Felecia is a Los Angeles native. Her hobbies are hiking, swimming and rollerblading. In her free time she volunteers with various animal rescue organizations.

Jennifer Merklin
Choir Director

Jennifer has been the choir director here at Rock of the Foothills since 2006. In addition to her work here, she teaches music in a private school system. Over the years, teaching music in several of these schools has included choir, band, recorders, hand chimes, and private lessons. She also performs as pianist and/or vocalist for many kinds of events and programs in Southern California. Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from La Sierra University in Riverside, California.

Lisa D. Strom
Contemporary Worship Director

Lisa is a graduate of Wittenberg University with a Bachelor’s of Music Education and holds a Masters in Missional Church Movements from Wheaton College. She has worked for churches in Music, Worship Development, Youth Ministry, Family Ministry, Media Development, and Administration. She is a certified coach and an MBTI Administrator. Lisa enjoys hiking, gardening, cooking, and cutting- edge technology.

Linda Kaan
Organist

Linda Kaan has been singing in or working with choral music since age 18.  She took her first organist position at age 21. Besides playing for Rock of the Foothills, she teaches 40 piano students per week. Linda studied psychology and nursing at Fullerton College and at Clinica Centrale Ortopedico di Rizzoli in Bologna, Italy.

Linda has four grown children and six grandchildren who all live nearby. Her hobbies are pets, writing, poetry, and managing her high school alumni group on Facebook.
